Watson-Marlow Science and Laboratory Peristaltic Pumps

Peristaltic pumps are an economical yet accurate alternative to a second HPLC pump when adding a post-column chemical derivatization agent(s).  Exceptional accuracy, combined with a digital display and intuitive user interface, ensure that these small pumps are precise and simple to use.

Hundreds of applications have been documented for the use of post-column chemical derivatization including “The Sensitive Determination of Free Formaldehyde in Cosmetic Preservatives” (Joshua and Hillebrand, 2009) in which a single speed peristaltic pump was used to deliver a consistent 0.8mL/minute flow of post-column chemical derivatization agent.
